„Animal Utopia for Bietigheim-Bissingen”

On 1st December 2015 a 17-part series of post cards with digital photo montages on this topic has been presented by Bietigheim artist Inken Meyn. In her work the scenery of the city of Bietigheim plays a prominent role. A photographic trail takes you from Music School and City Hall via Lower Gate for a detour into the Japanese Garden over the River Meadows Bridge, Civil Garden and ends at the Viaduct.

In the photos Inken Meyn integrated montages of animal heads with human bodies picking up on animal symbolism of Christian iconography of medieval times. Attached to the post card set is a flyer in which Dr. Isabell Schenk-Weininger of Bietigheim-Bissingen City Gallery is discussing the topic in an explanatory note.

At a price of EURO 11.50 the set of post cards can be purchased by placing an order on this page.
